Brand Identity


Rugby Roots is a grassroots rugby brand dedicated to showcasing emerging talent and celebrating the communities behind the game. By shining a spotlight on local players, the platform creates opportunities for future stars to be seen, recognised, and inspired.

pROBLEM

Grassroots rugby players often lack visibility and recognition, despite their talent and impact in local communities. There is a clear gap in platforms that showcase emerging players and their stories.

PROCESS

During the process, I explored and redesigned multiple magazine directions while developing the brand, alongside refining the Rugby Roots icon to better represent the identity. Through research into rugby culture and experimentation with logo, typography, and visual systems, the final outcome became a cohesive and modern brand that celebrates local talent and the communities behind the game.

IMPACT

Rugby Roots creates a stronger platform for grassroots rugby by giving emerging players visibility and recognition they often don’t receive. The brand helps bridge the gap between local clubs and wider audiences, celebrating community talent and inspiring pride in the next generation of players.
